Imamzadeh Jaafar Mausoleum

The brick mausoleum of Imamzadeh Jaafar belongs to the Seljuks era. It has four arcaded walls, eight vaulted arches and a dome. On some tiles and stone slates inside the portico one can see the dates 665, 815, and 816. There is a fretwork wooden box in the mausoleum. There is a cubic grave stone under this box which is decorated by stucco-works in Kufi handwriting. This building has been reconstructed in different historical periods. The Chihil Dokhtaran Dome This dome is a 16 meters round brick tower with an onion-like dome above it. According to its brick Kufi handwriting inscription, this Seljuki's building dates from 466 AH. It has very beautiful brick decorations. The outer part of the dome and tower is very beautiful and the bricks are used with extreme workmanship. This building is located in the northern part of the Imamzadeh Seyyd Jaafar mausoleum.
