The Hafez Mausoleum The original mausoleum of Hafez was erected 65 years after his death in 856 AH. In the ruling time of Abolqasem Gurkani and supported by his prime minister Sahms Oddin Muhammad Yaqmaee. From then on it has undergone several repairing. But the most basic reconstruction was done in Karimkhan's time. He erected a very beautiful building on Hafez grave in 1188 AH. This building which was in the style of Zand period architecture has a hall with four stone columns and two rooms in the left and right of it. The construction of the present building began in 1935 and it was completed in 1937.
