Ghafariyeh Dome – Maraghe The northwest of Maraghe in East Azerbijan and alongside the Safi river is the site of one of beautiful architectural masterpieces of the eighth century A.H. This building which is known as Ghafariyeh dome belongs to Abo Saeed Bahador Khan's period, the last Mongol likhan, and it was erected in 827 A.H. This brick building is rectangular. Its corners are decorated with ornamental pillars.
