The Arg Portal of Semnan This building had been the government citadel in Qajar era. It was built in the Naser-al Din Qajar period when Anoshirvan Mirza Ziya-o Dovleh, the son of Mohammad Rahim Mirza the tenth descendant of Abbas Mirza Nayeb-0 Saltaneh, was the governor of the Qumes province (1300 to 1305 AH. This portal has two northern and southern facades. The northern one is much more beautiful than the other. The southern facade consists of three doors and a small corridor, a stairway and two porticos. There is a semi circular inscription above the door which is made of blue tiles. It reads: "The King The Son Of The King, the Son Of The King, The Mighty Sultan, Naser-Addin Shah Qajar 1302". This inscription is decorated with beautiful ornamental figures of flowers and plants
