The Mausoleum Of Saadi In the northeast of Shiraz in the Saadi Town, previously called Saadiye village, an 8000 meter square old garden surrounds a plain dome. Beneath this small dome, which has a portico with high columns in front of it, the Iranian lyric poet is buried.Saadi passed away in 691 AH. He was buried in his abbey, the present tomb. This place has had mausoleum and garden from the very beginning. The construction of present mausoleum,

with its design resembling that of Chihil Sutun Palace, began in 1950. and was completed in 1952
