The complex of Miyandasht consists of three caravanseraies. One of them belongs to Safavid times and the other two belong to Qajar period. These two caravansaries have four porticos and are made of brick. These caravansaries which have been on the way to Khorasan could accommodate about 2000 travelers and pilgrims of Imam Reza shrine. Miyandasht caravanserai is located in the southeast of Shahrud and has three water reservoirs. Other buildings of this complex are courtier house and telegraph office
